IT Infrastructure & Support Engineer (Full-Time)

Location: Mostly Onsite in Milford, CT, with Occasional Travel 
 
The IT Infrastructure & Support Engineer manages and enhances our Microsoft cloud environments, enforces security and compliance standards, and provides advanced support across multiple locations. This role combines hands-on system administration with collaboration and knowledge sharing to improve the efficiency, reliability, and security of our growing IT ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft 365, Entra & Intune Administration

  • Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Manage Intune MDM for Windows, macOS, and iPadOS devices — ensuring proper configuration, compliance, and deployment.
  • Implement and manage identity and access controls, MFA, and conditional access policies.
  • Streamline onboarding and offboarding processes, including device provisioning and access management.

Multi-Location & Remote Support

  • Provide technical support for both corporate and restaurant teams across multiple sites.
  • Ensure reliable connectivity and system uptime for remote users and distributed locations.
  • Support device diversity including company-issued laptops, desktops, iPads, and mobile devices.
  • Remotely troubleshoot and resolve technical issues via phone, email, or ticketing systems; travel to locations as needed for on-site support or setup.

Security & Compliance

  • Enforce endpoint protection, encryption, and compliance baselines through Intune and related tools.
  • Support and maintain secure access practices, including monitoring MFA, permissions, and device health.
  • Assist in policy development and documentation of IT security standards and procedures.
  • Maintain visibility and consistency in data protection and system configuration across all locations.

Knowledge Transfer & Documentation

  • Create and maintain detailed IT documentation, SOPs, and internal guides.
  • Transfer technical knowledge and best practices through collaboration and shared learning.
  • Promote standardized approaches to system setup, device management, and security configuration.

Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

  • Perform regular system monitoring, patching, and backups to ensure stability and compliance.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions to improve performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to the rollout of new technologies, tools, and process improvements as the organization scales.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, Microsoft 365, or Intune engineering.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID).
  • Hands-on experience with Intune MDM across Windows, macOS, and iPadOS.
  • Strong understanding of identity management, MFA, and access control.
  • Solid grasp of IT security and endpoint protection best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting distributed or multi-location business environments.
  • Familiarity with Apple Business Manager and macOS/iOS device integration.
  • Knowledge of email threat protection tools (AppRiver, Mimecast, or similar).
  • Microsoft certifications 

Hours & Compensation 

  • Commitment: Full-time, on-site in Milford, CT, with occasional travel as required 
  • Compensation: Starting at $70k, Depending on Experience
